Pure Digital Technologies issued a press release today announcing the Flip MinoHD, the newest in their line of Flip Video plug and play camcorders, which can plug directly into your computer via USB and come with bundled software for editing your videos and facilitating uploading them to service like YouTube.

The Flip MinoHD improves upon the features of the Flip Video Ultra and Flip Mino camcorders by adding support for recording about an hour's worth of 720p high definition video in 16:9 widescreen on 4GBs of internal memory. The Flip MinoHD has a MSRP of $229.99 and comes in black, although you can design your own if you order directly from the Flip website.

The Flip MinoHD only weighs 3.3 ounces and its small thin form factor makes it very portable. If you're looking for a video camera capable of fitting in your pocket that can shoot high definition video, the MinoHD may be a good fit for you, although the small form factor does require some sacrifices in terms of features you might find on a more traditionally-sized camcorders. For example, the Flip MinoHD relies on a fixed-zoom system, rather than having the ability to zoom smoothly in and out at will.

Do you have any information about that new Vado camcorder from Creative? It seems to be HD, too. I came across several videos shot with this new Vado - look really cool, see: http://www.vimeo.com/2228817 or http://www.vimeo.com/2222902
