If you've been holding out on purchasing a netbook or ultra-portable laptop because you just really wanted one that was covered in bamboo, then today is your lucky day, because Asus's new U6V-B1-Bamboo ultraportable laptop is available for pre-order from Amazon for $1,999. This 12.1-inch laptop runs Windows Vista Business OS, features a Moso bamboo covering on its outer shell and just below the keyboard, a 1280 x 800 resolution screen, a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and a 320GB hard drive.

If you're environmentally conscious, keep in mind that the bamboo cover doesn't necessarily make the device eco-friendly.
