Navigon 8100T adds 3D terrain to navigation features

Navigon announced its new navigation device, the $600 8100T. The model sports a 4.8-inch widescreen touch-sensitive display, though you don't even need to use the touchscreen to enter in a destination with its voice-enabled input. The 8100T one-ups other navigators' pseudo-3D street views with a full terrain modeling engine, drawing realistic elevation changes. In addition to the standard points-of-interest database, the Navigon includes Zagat rating and review information for restaurants. Traffic updates are available to users in 95 supported markets, and are free for the life of the device. Feature-rich as the 8100T is, does a $600 price tag turn you off from the Navigon, considering the dozens of competitors with devices under half the cost? Let us know in the comments below.
