Media player manufacturer iRiver is set to release the Wave, its first mobile phone. The device was first shown off at this year's CES, and now iRiver is prepared to start shipping it out in March. The Wave features a 480 x 272 touchscreen with a thumbstick for additional control options. It support high-speed mobile internet in addition to WiFi and includes 4GB internal storage, expandable with microSD cards. Building on iRiver's experience making media players, the Wave will support most major formats, including MP3, WMA, and Ogg Vorbis, and play MPEG4 video. Sadly, the phone will be a Korea-only exclusive for the foreseeable future, with no plans announced to bring it to a US carrier.
