Dell Zing-based MP3 player plans shelved
According to the Wall Street Journal, Dell has decided against innovating in the portable media player market.

Although there had been rumors that Dell was working on a new portable media player aimed at being an iPod-killer and based on Zing software, the Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that those plans have been shelved and Dell now plans on focusing on implementing the Zing-software on their computers rather than creating a new MP3 player.
