LaCie revealed its Internet Space, a network-attached storage device that offers remote file access. The stark white box holds from 500GB to 1TB of data, locally accessible over the gigabit Ethernet connection. Besides giving computers access to its storage, the NAS features DLNA-compatible streaming to connected media players. Differentiating itself from the earlier Network Space NAS, the Internet Space uses a built-in server to communicate with LaCie's web site, even if your computer is turned off. By logging in to its site, you can then access your files from anywhere with an internet connection. The NAS will be available this month for around $200 for the 500GB model.
