If you've been eyeing the Acer Aspire One but have been wishing that it came with a touchscreen, there's a new do-it-yourself touchscreen kit available on eBay that reportedly can be installed in both the Acer Aspire One or the Asus Eee PC 900/901 models with no soldering required. The kit is listed with a buy it now price of $95.95 with a $25 shipping fee for shipping to the U.S. and has drivers to support Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
If you're good with a soldering kit and like to tinker and do things yourself sans the help of a pre-packaged kit, you can usually find touch screens that require a bit of soldering for about $75 shipped.
