Epoq has started selling its Pico, a portable digital video mini-projector, but its specs leave a lot to be desired. The Pico is only rated at seven ANSI lumens and an 80:1 contrast ratio, so if you're thinking about picking one up for use on-the-go, you'd better make sure you can use it in a dark environment if you'd like to see the output clearly. The model's 2.26 x 2.23 x 1.55-inch size, though the smallest announced for a mini-projector, still seems a little thick to comfortably fit in a pocket. The unit lacks VGA input for a computer hookup — though you could make do connecting it to a PC over the projector's composite video input, Epoq has clearly designed the Pico for SDTV video with its 640 x 480 resolution. For only around $100 more, 3M's MPro110 adds VGA input, slims down to one inch, and uses a LCoS image source for a high-contrast display.
