ASUS adds to its line of business-oriented laptops with the B80A, a slimmed-down version of the recently-released B50A. Both models offer similar processor options, and hard disks up to 320GB. The most obvious change is the B80As 14.1-inch screen, down from the B50A's 15-inch. Shrinking the case helps cut over a pound off the B50A's weight, bringing the B80A in at 5.4 pounds. Don't let the "business" label turn you off if you're only looking for a simple laptop; to ASUS, that just means extra reliability options, like a spill-proof keyboard, and easy connections to large displays and projectors for presentations, so you get an HDMI-out.

What do you think about "business" laptops - would you look for a model with more power under the hood, or focus on a rugged and lightweight model for traveling? Let us know in the comments below.

You need all the power that'll fit in a highly portable machine. Ruggedness isn't so important if you have good/great bag like Tumi or Swiss Army.
