Sony's got yet another recall on its hands, as reports come in that certain laptop batteries it manufactured in 2004 and 2005 can overheat, causing possible burns or actually bursting into flame. Over ninety percent of the affected models are HP/Compaq computers, so check the recall list carefully if you've got one of those machines. If you think your laptop has one of the recalled batteries, take it out right away and run on AC power. You'll need to get in touch with your laptop manufacturer, not Sony directly. Directions for each manufacturer are provided by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in its notice on the recall.

(Read on to check if your laptop's affected)

Never buy a Sony product.

I bought Sony W800i. The phone soon developed a problem of switching off on its own. And worst part is the Sony can't repair its phone. I sent the phone thrice to their repair center but nothing happened. They kept the phone for as long as one month without informing me about status.
In short sony can't support its product & have impolite & quarrelsome staff to deal with customers.

NEVER BUY ANY SONY PRODUCTS.
