Kenwood releasing flash-card-based home stereo

Kenwood's got a pricey digital-media playing bookshelf stereo in the works, reading files off flash memory. If you've already put all your music on SD-family memory cards for another media player, you can just pop them in the Prodino for playback. It'll also read files from an attached external USB drive, or take audio input from another device. That's where the feature list for the Prodino ends: no CD player, no radio. Even with limited features, you'll have to fork out over $400 for the system, which first hits Japan in November. Let us know what you think: is Kenwood being forward-thinking in focusing on flash-based media, or do you still look for CD support when buying a stereo?
