Obsessable poll: Do you own more than one computer?

As computers make inroads into our living rooms as media machines and as we go through new upgrade cycles, more and more homes are becoming multi-computer households. New challenges arise with networking, storage, backups, compatibility and more as the complexity of the home setup grows, and Obsessable would love to help make it easier with some feature topics surrounding keeping a multi-computer household happy. To help us in the planning stages we'd be interested to know how many of you are in the multi-machine boat now or about to dive into it — take a moment to vote in the poll and let us know more about your setup in the comments and any features you'd love to see us run to help you better manage it.

I have one computer (an elderly laptop), but my other half has four, and I'd say he uses two daily and the other two at least once per week.

I have a mac mini connected to a external hard drive that has my music and video. I use this in my bedroom but eventually would be streaming the content to apple tv in my living room.
I have a personal Macbook Pro laptop, an old pc in the den which I am about ready to dump. In addition me and my wife have work laptops.

Life became easier in the living room when the laptop computer was purchased. The electronic family can happily coexist without conflict now with two computers and a TV in the same living room.

Are you kidding? I've never gotten rid of a computer. Ever. Old PCs become super-cheap high-capacity DIY NAS devices.

Just added a fourth monitor and a Linux Desktop to the command center. Is is a shame synergy won't treat multiple monitors on one computer as separate workspaces. Atleast I haven't gotten it to yet.

I have two--a desktop and a laptop.
Husband has a laptop.
Daughter #1 has a laptop
Daughter #2 and son share a desktop

So, our family of 5 has 5 computers--not including the outdated desktop and laptop which we have, but never use--if you counted those, we'd have 7.

Yikes!
Susan

I second the disposable request. I have two old towers that are completely fubar and want to find a good way to recycle them.

Also, it would be nice to know how to network various OSs from several computers. Most of the media or media software I have is unfortunately on a Mac laptop or tower (even the Macs sometimes butt heads with one another, but I think that's more a DRM-issue than anything); most of my work/work is on a Linux tower, and another laptop for those times when I am forced to use Windows applications. In short, they all hate one another and I'm stuck in the middle.
