Developers get 70% of Android Market revenue

Google has released details that developers coding applications to be included in the Android Marketplace will receive 70% of the revenue generated by sales of their applications for Google's Android OS that powers the T-Mobile G1.
In a move that could persuade iPhone application developers to drop Apple in favor of developing for the Android Marketplace, which launched today, new developers have only to pay a $25 fee, instead of the $99 that Apple requires, to apply for inclusion in the marketplace. Also, unlike Apple who closely approves and disapproves of individual applications for sometimes cryptic reasons, Google says: "Once registered, your apps can be made available to users without further validation or approval."
The real draw of the Android Marketplace, of course, will depend upon if Android phones receive the same sort of market penetration that the iPhone has enjoyed and if the applications being sold start making a million dollars a day.
Full details on the Android Marketplace and its development policies are available via the official Android Developers Blog.
