Available for $1999.99 exclusively from the Motorola Store, the Motorola Aura features the world's first 16-million color display and a set of manufacturing specifications that read like the list of detailed craftsmanship you normally only hear extolled in the marketing materials for high-end Swiss watches.

If you are an obsessed gadget lover, like us, you probably would be better served spending the $2,000 burning a hole in your pocket on a new laptop computer and an iPhone 3G or a T-Mobile G1. For all its craftsmanship, there's nothing especially special about this overpriced cellphone beyond the circular screen. If you're a rich gadget lover who must collect every phone ever manufactured or you just want to show off in front of your slightly less rich gadget-loving friends, then the Motorola Aura is probably right up your alley.
