Gateway's MC-Series laptop line designed for "cinematic entertainment" with a 16-inch edge-to-edge seamless glass widescreen display debuts today. According to the press release, the MC-Series will be available in retail outlets later this month in two models: the Gateway MC7801u comes in burgundy with an MSRP of $949.99 and the Gateway MC7803u comes in black with an MSRP of $999.99. Both models feature a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a Multi-Format Dual Layer DVDRW with DVD-RAM and LabelFlash Technology, and running Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit Edition with SP1. The extra cost for the MC7803u is due to an improved graphics card for gaming and entertainment: an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 graphics with 512MB dedicated memory.
