Ignoring Steve Jobs' announcement during yesterday's Q&A session at the Apple Laptop Event that Blu-Ray was "a bag of hurt," earlier today in Japan, Sharp announced the Sharp AQUOS DX series, the world's first line of LCD TVs with integrated Blu-Ray recorders for both watching and recording high definition video. Available in six different sizes from a 26-inch model to a 52-inch model, North American availability and pricing for the Sharp AQUOS DX series of LCD TVs have not yet been announced. If you read Japanese, here's the full announcement from Sharp and in case you don't, here's a Google translation of the page. Make sure you read the conversations below for more discussion of this new line of Blu-Ray capable LCD TVs and let us know in the comments if you agree with Steve Jobs or if you love the idea of integrated Blu-Ray players.
