Sony has gone on record that there will be no official price break on the Sony PlayStation 3 for the holiday season, so if you were looking to grab a PS3 on the cheap, you're going to need to watch for coupons and special retailer deals.
If you are looking for such a deal, it may behoove you to watch this DealNews search for "PlayStation 3 console", as they do a pretty good job of following current coupon deals and both online and offline retailer sales. Currently, they've spotted a deal to grab an 80GB PS3 for $249.99 with free shipping, but you'll have to sign up for a Sony Visa Card to do so.
