Apple is hosting a special Notebook Event today at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern, so check back then for updates on any announcements, new product pages for any new devices announced, and analysis of what the announcements mean for consumers looking to buy a new Apple laptop. New redesigned versions of both the MacBook and MacBook Pro with more powerful NVIDIA graphics processors are expected, as well as a features bump on the MacBook Air line, which is not expected to experience a full redesign.

On the eve of the event some new blurry spyshots of what may be the new MacBook Pro appeared on Engadget with what appears to be a buttonless glass trackpad. We'll find out if those pictures are real and how this trackpad works (or if it is an actual mini-touchscreen display like that found on the iPhone) soon enough.
