The Xbox 360 is receiving a new interface predicted to arrive around November 19th as a free upgrade for all Xbox 360 owners. This New Xbox Experience (NXE) will require 128MB of free space to install and run properly, and since the NXE is a new default interface for the platform, Microsoft has decided to hel qualified customers out by either providing a free 512MB memory card or a $20 discount on a 20GB hard drive for the Xbox 360.

If you bought or received an Xbox 360 as a gift with no included storage, whether internal or a memory card, then you may qualify for this deal. Write down your 12-digit serial number and 12-digit console ID and enter them both on this webpage to determine if you qualify. If you are wondering whether to get the memory card or the hard drive, keep in mind that the hard drive will be required for certain features of the NXE like for downloading HD movies and television programs, although you'll still be able to stream content from Netflix as long as you have 8MBs of free space. Full details on the program are available on Microsoft's Xbox.com.
