LG KC780 eight megapixel slim cameraphone officially announced

LG's latest entry in the cameraphone wars will be available in November 2008.

Spotted back when it was a mere twinkle in the eye of an FCC report, the LG KC780 8-megapixel cameraphone has now been officially announced by LG. The ultra-slim 13.9mm slider includes a number of features appealing to photographers, including a Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens, up to ISO 1600 support, a SmartLight setting for use in bright environments, built-in image stabiliser, face detection, and special shooting modes specifically for portrait shots including Smile Shot and Beauty Mode that allows the removal of "imperfections" from the subject's face, making it an ideal choice for those prom pics. The KG KC780 officially goes on sale in November 2008 first in Europe, followed by India, Thailand, Honk Kong and China although no price is yet confirmed.
