Verizon Wireless now charging 3 cents per Mobile Marketing text message

Verizon Wireless has started charging a $0.03 transaction fee for every mobile-terminating text message sent to its customers.

While this will most likely prevent SMS marketing spammers from hounding you on your cellphone, it also makes it costly for several of the free services out there—like Twitter, Google SMS, and Yahoo! oneSearch—that are SMS-enabled to send you information.
