RIM's upcoming BlackBerry Storm will feature the ability to cut-and-paste, according to documents obtained by The Boy Genius Report. The internal training guide shows users will be able to place one finger at the beginning of their selection, and one finger at the end of the selection, at which point the phone will select the text. Users can then cut, copy or delete the selected text, just as a traditional desktop computer.

Most touchscreen phones, including the iPhone, have eschewed copy-and-paste and text selection presumably due to inaccurate inputs, and difficulty making the system work. Users can test the BlackBerry's implementation when the Storm is released on Verizon Wireless next month.

UPDATE: 10/6/08 9:55AM ET—Preview shots have emerged of RIM's BlackBerry Application Center that will run on the BlackBerry Storm and other devices running BlackBerry's 4.7 OS.
