Nokia has made a series of announcements today, including the debut of its 5800 XpressMusic phone and the attached Comes With Music download service. The anticipated 5800 is an iPhone-like touchscreen model, a quad-band GSM phone with 3G HSDPA, sporting a 3.2-inch screen and 8GB storage. Nokia highlights the device's music playback features, including a graphic EQ and built-in stereo speakers, and the bundled Comes With Music subscription. Additionally at the Remix event, Nokia revealed the latest edition of its S60 software for the Symbian OS. The new software, now at version five, supports development in C++ in addition to Open C and includes support for integrating multiple sensors into software, such as entering silent mode by turning a phone to lay on its face.
