Transcend launched a new 2.5-inch solid-state drive up to 64GB in capacity. Transcend's latest models, available in either SATA or IDE versions, feature speedy 159MB per second read speeds and 136MB write speeds, which are nearly double the speeds of Toshiba's recently announced 256GB drives. All that speed, however, won't come cheap, with Transcend's online store listing the price at $747.
