Apple TV resellers have allegedly gotten instructions to destroy existing displays and literature in preparation for a Tuesday webcast "kick off" event, reports The Unofficial Apple Weblog. Weblogs Inc's Apple site reportedly received an anonymous email from a person claiming to work at an Apple product retailer, which supposedly reiterated the contents of an official memo from the company itself. If this information does pan out -- and does not actually pertain to something trivial such as licensing expirations on the display material -- it would be the second time this year that the wireless media server received an upgrade, following the Take Two edition from MacWorld 2008 which brought iTunes movie streaming, Flickr integration, and 1080p output to the first generation box.
