Sprint announced it's adding a new application that lets users send money from their bank account via their phone. Sprint says the new service allows web-enabled Sprint phones users with bank accounts at Citibank, PNC Bank, IBC Bank or BB&T can access their accounts on the go to check balances, pay bills and find nearby branches and ATMs. The application also integrates PayPal, allowing users to swap cash using email addresses. Visa also introduced a similar initiative earlier in the week targeted specifically toward phones running Android and Symbian operating systems.
