Sources indicate that Nokia is finally set to launch its long-awaited touchscreen mobile phone, code-named "Tube," early this October. Joining the other major Apple iPhone competitor to be released in October -- T-Mobile's android-based G1 -- the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic sports a 3.2-inch 640x360-pixel display, quad-band GSM with HSDPA and Edge, an SDHC card slot supporting up to 16GB, and a 3.2-megapixel flash camera that can record video at 30 frames-per-second. Unlike its competitors, the unit is said to feature a stylus for the non-multi-touch touchscreen display, as well support for the company's upcoming "Comes With Music" campaign, which gives users a year of unlimited music downloads when they purchase a handset. Though Samsung will soon launch a Symbian App Store that may motivate more developers to work with Nokia's operating system, it remains to be seen how the the OS will fare against Google's Android and Apple's iPhone OS.
