General Imaging has introduced three new 10-megapixel point-and-shoots under its GE branding, and though they seem destined for the UK, no pricing or release information was given. Both the E1055W and E1050TW feature 5x optical zooms, aspheric all-glass lenses, and 3-inch LCDs, with the latter model upgrading to a touchscreen and 720p video recording capability, along with HDMI connectivity. The A1030, meanwhile, joins the company's other two entry-level A-series cameras, the A735 and A835, matching their 3x optical zooms and 2.5-inch LCDs. All three models tout the usual in-camera niceties such as red-eye reduction, digital image stabilization, and face, blink, and smile detection.
