Sony releases link modules to customize BRAVIA HDTVs
New link modules add integrated features to compatible televisions.

Sony Electronics annouced it is adding three new BRAVIA Links to their line up of link modules for the television: the Wireless Link, DVD Link and Input Link. By attaching the modules to the back of a compatible BRAVIA HDTV, the link's features are integrated directly into the television's menus.The $800 Wireless Link Module (DMX-WL1,) which ships in October, is a two-part system that can wirelessly transmit video up to 1080i to the television. The transmitter has five HDMI inputs, one component input and can transmit up to 65-feet in distance.The $200 DVD Link Module (DMX-DVD) can upscale DVDs up to 1080p, and the $150 Input Link Module (DMX-SW1) adds four new HDMI ports to compatible BRAVIAs. Both devices let users control peripherals through their TV remotes and are available now.
