Alltel announced today that it would it would be the first carrier to offer nuTsie, a service that lets cell phone users listen to music on their iTunes accounts over their handsets, and even listen to the playlists of other users. nuTsie, which was created by Melodeo, has previously been available on BlackBerries, but this is the first time a carrier has officially offered it to its users. While nuTsie, which is an anagram for iTunes, doesn't actually play music from Apple's service, it does take the information from your iTunes account and matches it to the songs on its own servers. The service will cost $4.99 per month or  $19.99 per year and can be accessed on handsets from the Alltel shop.
