Sony Ericsson says it's once again teaming up with Fossil to update its line of MBW wristwatches with Bluetooth functionality, this time with three designed for women.  The MBW-200 series timepieces display call alerts on an OLED screen that Sony claims blends into the watch's face when not in use, giving users the option to reject calls altogether or mute the phone's ringer without having to dig their phone out of a bag or pocket. Users can enable a vibration alert to trigger upon reception of SMS or MMS messages, or to indicate when the phone moves out of the 30-foot Bluetooth range of the watch. Bluetooth functionality extends beyond phone options, however, with media playback controls, including track and volume adjustment for compatible devices. The three designer editions of the MBW-200 will be available in the fourth quarter of 2008 in selected markets, at a yet-to-be-announced price.

Agent 99 would have been proud. How about a version that could actually receive the text messages? Wouldn't want to wear this little number on a date or to a business meeting.
Perhaps this connects the wristwatch back to the cell phone market much like polaroid's instant photo printer that embraces it's own brand of digital camera.
