Sources tell the Wall Street Journal that the first Android phone, manufacturered by HTC and running on T-Mobile's network, will feature Google branding and sell for $199. Google's logo will appear along side HTC and T-Mobile's branding on the new handset to be announced next Tuesday. If the report is accurate, the HTC G1, also known as the HTC Dream (pictured,) will be competitively priced with Apple's $199 iPhone when it goes on sale, reportedly in October.
