Asus has given Laptop magazine a sneak preview of its upcoming N10 series of 10-inch sub-notebooks, the $600 N10E and $700 N10J, with the higher-end model boasting an unusual discrete graphics card in the form of NVIDIA's GeForce 9300 MS. Both Vista-powered devices sport certain netbook-like components, including a 1.6GHz Atom processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 1024 x 600 display, while other features -- such as draft-n WiFi, an ExpressCard slot, a DisplayPort video output, and both a fingerprint reader and webcam with facial recognition software -- are rare in, if not unique to, laptops this small. Battery life is said to be six to twelve hours, with users able to toggle between discrete and integrated graphics to conserve battery power on the N10J. That model also features a capacious 320GB hard drive, making graphics and storage the only differences between it and the 160GB N10E.
