HP has added a pair of large touchscreen PCs to its TouchSmart lineup, the 25.5-inch, 1900 x 1200-pixel IQ816 and IQ804, going on sale October 12th and September 21st, respectively. This third generation tops the previous 22-inch and 19-inch versions in almost every department, with Core 2 Duo processors (2.1GHz T8100 on the IQ816 and 2.16GHz T5850 on the IQ804) discrete NVIDIA graphics (GeForce 9600M GS and GeForce 9300M GS, respectively), 4GB of DDR2 RAM, and 750GB of hard drive storage. Add to that a slot-loading Blu-ray player / DVD burner, analog and digital TV tuners with remote, wireless peripherals, and a multi-card reader plus media bay, and the $2,099 IQ816 and $1,899 IQ804 would seem to make very capable entertainment centers.
