Sony has unveiled the G705, a slider with a 3.2 megapixel camera that can record video and upload it directly to YouTube. The 3G phone has a 2.4-inch display with an accelerometer (for screen rotation), an HTML browser, aGPS with Google Maps, Bluetooth, and 1GB of included M2 memory. Expected to hit the US in Q1 of 2009, the yet-to-be-priced GSM device will be released in Europe in Q4 of this year as an Orange exclusive. At the same time Sony will launch the G705u, their first UMA enabled handset, which will allow users to roam between GSM and Wi-Fi networks.
