Sharp has unveiled five new 1080p models of AQUOS LCDs across two different lines. The limited release 1-inch thick XS1U line features 65-inch and 52-inch models, both of which have five HDMI inputs, and provide limited internet connectivity for stock quotes, weather information and technical support. The upgraded D65U line beefs up the input count to five HDMI inputs from last year's D64U line, which only had three, widens the viewing angle, but its 6-millisecond response time is  2-milliseconds slower than last year's model. The XS1U doesn't have a price nor release date just yet, but the 52-inch, 46-inch and 42-inch D65U models will cost $2,400, $1,900 and $1,600 when they go on sale in October.
