Microsoft's Zune team has confirmed the existence of a 120GB hard drive-based model, first seen in last week in the FCC database (testbed setup pictured above). Although no further details -- including price and release window -- were given, the company's Cesar Menendez has reportedly told Zunerama that an upgrade to the current 80GB multimedia player is indeed on the way. This news comes just days or weeks before Apple is expected to offer refreshes to its own iPod lineup.
