Microsoft may be developing its own software market for Windows Mobile products -- similar to existing, planned, or rumored variations from Apple, Google, and T-Mobile, respectively -- if a posting on a Seattle-area job site is to be believed. The company is allegedly seeking a Product Manager to oversee the deployment of what is being referred to as the "Skymarket" marketplace, an "App Store"-style hub that the posting says would be launched simultaneously with Windows Mobile 7, Redmond's next major mobile operating system revision. If PowerPoint slides leaked earlier this year (pictured above) are indeed accurate, WM7 will support a number of completely new input methods for the platform, including multi-touch, gesture recognition, and motion-control.
