The European Imaging and Sound Association has revealed Philips' latest Ambilight LCD, the LED-backlit 42PFL9803, through its annual awards.  This DLNA-compliant 1080p set sports four HDMI ports and boasts a class-leading 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, although its static contrast ratio is unknown, and the rest of its specs -- 500cd/m2 brightness, 100Hz refresh rate, and two-millisecond response time -- are fairly standard. Pricing has been set at $4,407, however, only a rumored release window of September is available at this time.
