American Airlines has become the first U.S. airline to offer in-flight broadband internet access. For a flat $12.95-per-flight, passengers on nonstop flights between New York and San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles, and New York and Miami can connect to partner Aircell's Gogo WiFi service. American says Gogo provides "full internet access" but not cell phone or VoIP service. Earlier this month Delta Airlines said it would offer Gogo in 2009.
