Apple CEO Steve Jobs says he does not have life-threatening cancer. In an off-the-record conversation with a New York Times reporter last week, Jobs subtlety quelled rumors regarding his health that were exacerbated from a public appearance last month where observers noted that he looked thinner than before. Jobs did have surgery in 2004 to remove a cancerous tumor in his pancreas, and since then company insiders, stockholders and the tech industry at large have raised concerns about his health. The famously reticent Jobs has told associates that he's been dealing with nutritional problems since his surgery, but a recent procedure to correct the problem has spurred him to say that he is now fit and cancer-free.
