Toronto, Canada's public health department is recommending that kids under the age of eight be restricted to using cellphones only in emergency situations and not for any other purposes. The agency is citing concerns that excessive cellphone usage at such an early age could lead to health-related problems later on from exposure to radio frequency waves. There is no official Canadian government policy on this issue, but this could spur other local public health agenices to take similar action.
