Sony issues consumer alert over faulty Cyber-shot cameras

According to Sony, several DSC-T20 Cyber-shot cameras sold in the US contain a defective lens mechanism, causing the body to vibrate and preventing photos from being taken. Those customers with an affected model -- pink and silver units in the serial number range 500001 to 525350 -- can request a free shipping label from Sony, which will repair the problem prior to July 17, 2011.
