Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Verizon's USB1000 is an anywhere wireless network connection dongle for computers and similar devices. It connects to 3G data networks (just like cell phones do) to access the internet.

There are a lot of these, of course, but what makes this one worthy of mention is that it's designed for the jetsetting international types. It can connect to many types of networks, including EV-DO Rev A 800/1900, quad-band GSM and EDGE, and WCDMA, HSDPA, and HSUPA 850/1900/2100. Thus, it should work just about anywhere.

You can buy it from Verizon for $199.99 (before a $50 rebate) with data subscription plans starting at $129.99 per month, with 5 gigabytes of access in the United States and Canada and an additional 100 or more megabytes in more countries. The amount of bandwidth and coverage depends on which plan you're willing to pay for.
