Google Nexus One and HTC Supersonic 4G smartphone heading to Sprint

Announced at IFA 2009, Sony's 11.1-inch VAIO X is an ultraportable laptop even thinner than the MacBook Air or the Dell Adamo, at 0.55 inches. It weighs only 1.6 pounds, and Sony claims that it gets 17 hours of battery life with the optional "super extended capacity battery." That battery increases the size of the laptop though.

The downside is that like the VAIO P it runs one of those barely-adequate Intel Atom netbook processors. The clock speed is 2 GHz. That explains the battery life, but performance will be underwhelming. Other features include a multi-touch trackpad, optional 3G wireless, GPS, and a solid state drive.

The VAIO X ships in November and starts at $1,299.
