Although the MSI X-Slim X340 laptop was originally announced with scarce details and a price point according to MSI that would be less than $1000 (see original announcement post below), the official product page has appeared listing the thin 13.4-inch 16:9 widescreen laptop at an MSRP of $1099. The X340 features a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Solo Processor, Windows Vista Home Premium, an HDMI port, a VGA port, built-in 1.3MP webcam, 802.11 b/g/n with optional Bluetooth, 2GBs of RAM, a 320GB SATA hard drive, and a 4-cell battery by default with an optional 8-cell battery upgrade available. The MSI X-Slim X340 weighs 2.86 pounds and measures 13 inches x 8.82 inches x 0.78 inches at its thickest and 0.24 inches at its thinnest.
