Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The MSI Wind U115 is an upcoming netbook, the most noteworthy feature of which is a dual-format storage system. The hybrid system uses both a solid state disk (SSD) and a standard hard disk drive. The intention is to store the operating system and heavily-accessed files on the SSD, freeing up the larger, slower hard drive for other applications and data files. The U115 will come configured with one of three storage setups: 8GB SSD/80GB HDD, 16GB SSD/120GB HDD, or 32GB SSD/160GB HDD. The netbook will feature an Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, and sport a 10-inch screen. MSI will include a 1.3-megapixel webcam, multi-mode flash card reader, and offer WiFi support. The MSI Wind U115 measures 10.2 inches wide by 7 inches deep by .7 inches thick, and weighs 2.42 lbs.
