The iPad has landed.

Successor to HP's Mini-Note 2133 netbook, the HP Mini 1000 has a weight starting at 2.25 pounds, a keyboard nearly notebook size (92%), and a new piano black casing. As seen in the HP press release, the Mini 1000 features a wider 10-inch screen, a less than 1-inch thick exterior, and a number of configure-to-order options. The netbook has moved on up to Intel's 1.6GHz Atom Processor and has several connectivity options, including two USB ports, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth capabilities. A Vivian Tam edition is also available with an optional red design, while a MIE edition automatically supports Internet functions like Skype and IM. The Mini 1000 will be selling for $399, with the other models costing somewhat more.
