Gateway brags about the portability of its EC54 model before all else. It's a 15.6-inch laptop, but it is less than an inch thick and it weighs 5.29 pounds — but we're not sure why there's bragging, because 5.29 pounds isn't all that light.
It's easier to get excited about the LED-backlit screen, eight hours of battery life, and 802.11n Wi-Fi. The screen's resolution is 1366 x 768, and the EC54 can be configured with one of several choices from Intel's dual-core processor lineup.
Since it's a Windows 7 laptop, the EC54 will ship on October 22nd. Prices start at $649.99
