Gateway brags about the portability of its EC54 model before all else. It's a 11.6-inch laptop, and it weighs 3.29 pounds — but we're not sure why there's bragging, because 3.29 pounds isn't all that light for such a small computer.
It's easier to get excited about the LED-backlit screen and 802.11n Wi-Fi. The screen's resolution is 1366 x 768, and the laptop comes with a modest 1.4 GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core CPU. 4 GB of RAM and a 320 GB hard drive are nothing to shake a stick at, though.
Since it's a Windows 7 laptop, the EC14 will ship on October 22nd. Prices start at $549.99
